Life is too short

A past student of mine was shot Wednesday night.  I’ve kept in touch with his family through the years and have watched him grow up outside my window.  He chose to walk away from a life of following God, but I always held out hope that he would change.  In my heart I knew that he could be an amazing servant in God’s Kingdom.  Now it seems that his service to God’s kingdom may come through his death instead.  His family has been involved with World Impact since the early 1990s.  They have attended Bible clubs, our first church plant, Refuge in Christ Church, and FDCS.  It seems that they have participated on and off, but never made the long-term commitment to follow Christ.  Please pray that this student’s family will see God through this difficult time and that they may know the peace that only He can give.
