October Prayer Letter
October 1, 2014
Dear Friends,
Thank you so much for walking with us in this journey God has called us to in Chester. In recent months we have written about the changes that we are seeing in the lives of Elena, Dawn and their family. These changes are not possible without you!
You have also walked with us over the past year as we have endeavored to increase our financial support. At the beginning of this journey last year we laid our future in God’s hands acknowledging that He would help us raise the needed support and that if it did not come in, He would be directing us to go in a different direction. Thank you for praying with us in this!
In the past twelve months we have been encouraged to see our support double from thirty to sixty percent. However, we need to have a consistent base of at least eighty percent of our monthly support in order to continue with World Impact. World Impact has graciously been willing to give us more time to raise this amount, but through much prayer and seeking God’s will, we have decided that God is calling us to move on from World Impact.
This has been a difficult decision, especially as God has brought our family closer to Elena, Dawn and their family through our current church plant. We are excited when Dawn asks questions and wants to know more about the Bible. As her son Ji’yon’s heart continues to soften to God, we want to be there to walk with him in that journey. However, we know that because God is calling us, He will not leave them alone.
At this time we are sensing God leading us back to Tom’s home area in Martinsville, Virginia. While visiting Martinsville in September, through some dear friends, God confirmed this decision by providing us with a place to live while Tom searches for a job. So, on October 11, we will be saying goodbye to Chester and beginning our new adventures in Martinsville.
Words cannot express how grateful we are for your prayers and support throughout our journey here! Many lives have been changed through your partnership with us! Please continue keep our family, team and church plant in your prayers during this time of transition.
Blessings in Him,
Tom, Vicki, Lizzy, and Lilly Anthony
