Praying for Peace in Chester

Recently we have noticed an increase in violence in Chester.  There have been a number of shootings that have affected our friends here.  The most recent happened on Tuesday night.  A former neighbor of Vicki's and good friend of some fellow missionaries was shot twelve times in front of his eleven year old sister.  Thankfully none of the bullets hit his sister or any major arteries or internal organs.  His life has been spared.

Our friend Candy shared, "The God who saved his physical life can also save his spiritual life. He needs to be delivered from consequences of sin. Please continue to pray for physical healing, but also that the Truth of the Gospel will penetrate his heart. This is the young man who would mow our lawn, because, "You girls help out with kids." This is the young man who once walked my roommate home because the neighborhood was not calm. This is the guy who would walk to the bus stop everyday to pick up his little sister. His life is messy, but his heart is soft, may he turn to Christ. "
