Beautiful Sunny Day
After an early morning feeding of Elizabeth on Sunday, I couldn't get back to sleep. It was 6am and a beautiful morning. I decided to go out and drive around Chester and look for places to take pictures of. I enjoy driving around the city and enjoy the beauty and quiet of the early morning. It reminds me of the beauty that our city holds that can often be forgotten in the routine of day to day ministry.
Because of the beautiful weather, we enjoyed spending most of the day outside. Tom traveled to our old house to grab his bike and a few other items. While he was there he also picked up a girls bike that we had in our old basement. We had been saving it to give away. After Tom fixed up the bike we gave it to a girl who often stops by our house. She loved it! Every time we saw her that day, she was riding her bike and even throughout the week.
We also had an opportunity to give away our electric lawn mower to a neighbor who was using a weed wacker to mow their lawn. A friend of ours down the street needed a place to store her mower, so we gave ours away and our storing hers in our shed.
In the afternoon, we enjoyed sitting in the back yard watching the birds and the activity in the neighborhood. Many people were out relaxing in their yards, working on cars, and riding bikes. We thanked God for the opportunity to enjoy our neighborhood on such a beautiful day!
